East Atchison’s Owen DeRosier (top photo and above) and Rock Port’s Corbyn Jakub (below) competed in the Missouri 8-Man Football Senior All-Star Game Saturday, June 28, 2025, at Missouri Western State University in St. Joseph, Missouri. Both competed on the blue team, which lost to the red team 24-42. Owen took home the Defensive MVP after snagging two interceptions. Corbyn threw three passes for touchdowns as quarterback and also scored one rushing touchdown himself. Rock Port football coach Dalton Jones was also a coach during the event. Also recgonized at the event were the 2025 inductees to the Missouri 8-Man Coaches Association Hall of Fame (bottom) – Worth County’s Chris Healy (as a player and coach) and Fairfax’s Brian Slaughter (as a player).
