Fresh produce is finally for sale at the Fairfax Farmers Market on Friday mornings each week. It’s been a slow or late growing season for some veggies and for others, they just aren’t ready until this time of year. Now, the market has tomatoes, sweet corn, peaches, zucchini, melons, and onions available, as well as the usual delicious baked goods. Booths are set up at Broadway and Hwy. 59 every Friday from 7:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon throughout the summer. All vendors are welcome. There are no fees, but you must supply your own canopy, tables, and chairs. For more information, contact Marilyn Alldredge at 660-744-3146.
