The Atchison County Health Department, in conjunction with Community Hospital-Fairfax, Easter Seals, and Community Services, held a community baby shower Wednesday, August 13, 2025, for expecting and new parents.  The parents received information packets, freebies, baby items, and snacks, and were given the opportunity to sign up for prize drawings. Those who helped organize the event, from left to right, are: front row – Health Center Administrator Julie Livengood, CH-F OB RN Katelynn Shunaker, CH-F Dietary Manager and Certified Lactation Counselor Denise Sanders, and Health Center Office Manager Tammy Sly; and back row – Health Center RN Andrea Cook, CH-F Med Surg/ER/OB Director Ashlee Driskell, Easter Seals Parent Educator Ashley Covey, Atchison County Community Services Director Kodi Irizarry, and CH-F OB Michelle Bollinger.
