The Rock Port volleyball team played in the inaugural Pony Express Girls Volleyball State Preview Classic, sponsored by the St. Joseph Sports Commission. The Lady Jays started Friday with a 2-1 win over West Platte, and 2-0 over Cameron. On Saturday, they beat Plattsburg 2-1 and lost to Mid-Buchanan 2-1. With Rock Port’s record of 3 and 1 in Pool 1, the Jays would bring home the first place trophy. Their next game will be Thursday, September 4, in a conference matchup against Mound City.
