In coordination with the Atchison County Library, KG Buds Designs By Jay’s Jaycee Graves showed patrons how to make a flower arrangement Wednesday, September 3, at the Fairfax flower shop. Destiny, Brinlyn, and Stella Mercer and Linda Stephens joined Library Program Coordinator Shelby Hurst in watching Jaycee make a large, $150 flower arrangement. Although most flower arrangements customers request are in the $30 to $50 range, Jaycee chose a larger one to demonstrate the usage of more flowers and show how the flowers should always be cut to the height of the vase used or higher to make it look more uniform. Unless the flower is out of season, Jaycee is able to order just about any flower and the choices are endless.
