Nathaniel Wehmeyer had the pep band going on Friday. They opened with the playing of our national anthem and moved into the stand to keep the crowd entertained.

Running back Brock Holmes splits the EA defenders to get the first of his four touchdowns.

 

The East Atchison Wolves hosted the Rock Port Blue Jays at Tarkio Friday, September 12.

From the opening kick-off, Rock Port took control of the game, when Brock Holmes brought the ball back to EA’s 30-yard line.

Rock Port’s first play was quarterback Westyn Amthor hitting receiver Jack Meyerkorth on a go route, giving the Jays the first 6 points of the game. EA, without all their players, would struggle to move the ball on the Jays with a total of 69 total offensive yards to Rock Port’s 224 yards. The Jays would score 28 points in the first quarter and 30 in the second to bring the final score to 58-0 at halftime. East Atchison would elect to end the game.

Jack Meyerkorth and Brock Holmes combined for eight touchdowns. Meyerkorth had two receiving and two punt returns for touchdown while Holmes had four rushing TDs with five two-point conversions.

East Atchison travels to Oregon, Missouri, on Friday to take on the South Holt Knights. Rock Port will host Platte Valley.
