Proclamation of Gratitude and Recognition

WHEREAS, the safety and well-being of the children of Rock Port is the highest priority of this community; and

WHEREAS, the Atchison County Sheriff’s Department, Atchison County EMS, and the Rock Port Fire Department acted with extraordinary speed, dedication, and professionalism in responding to a recent incident involving two children of Rock Port; and

WHEREAS, through their quick, thorough, and heroic actions, these agencies ensured the safe return of the children, bringing relief and gratitude to their families and to the citizens of Rock Port; and

WHEREAS, the courage, cooperation, and commitment displayed by these departments reflect the very best of public service and remind us all of the strength and protection we find in our first responders;

NOW, THEREFORE, I, JR Chaney, Mayor of Rock Port, Missouri, with the full authority vested in me by the people of this city, do hereby proclaim publicly and with great pride:

That the Atchison County Sheriff’s Department, Atchison County EMS, and the Rock Port Fire Department are true heroes of our community.

On behalf of the citizens of Rock Port, I extend our deepest gratitude for their dedication, their bravery, and their unwavering service.
