Join C.A.R.E. advocates, Atchison County officials and community members, and victims of domestic violence on the Atchison County Courthouse steps that evening from 6:00 to 6:30 p.m.

The Atchison County Library welcomes everyone to their upcoming author visit in a Speaker Series presentation. Barbara Cochran, author of “My Heart in Rhyme” and “The Yesteryears,” will be at the Tarkio Library Thursday, October 23, at 6:00 p.m. The Tarkio Library is located at 405 S. 11th Street in Tarkio, Missouri.

The Rock Port Blue Jays will host the Mound City Panthers in their final home game this Friday, October 24. The game begins at 7:00 p.m. The senior football players, cheerleaders, golfers, cross country runners, and band members and their parents will be recognized.

Pleasant View in Rock Port will hold a Trunk-or-Treat event Saturday, October 25, from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. The event is free and open to the public. Bring your little ghosts and goblins and enjoy a fun time!

St. John’s Lutheran Church Sunday School and Outreach will be hosting a Christian Trunk-or-Treat after the worship service (usually around 11:30 a.m.) Sunday, October 26, 2025, at the church. The Rock Port Senior Center will hold a fish fry Sunday, October 26, from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at the center, 505 S. Country Club Drive in Rock Port. Free-will donations will be accepted. The Tarkio Parks & Recreation board members are gearing up for the Tarkio Halloween Parade & Trunk-or-Treat event to be held Sunday, October 26, 2025. This year’s parade will begin with registration at 3:30 p.m. at the Farmers State Bank parking lot, and then the costumed characters will make their way down Main Street at 4:30 p.m. A trunk-or-treat will follow.
