The East Atchison junior high and high school cross country teams competed in the Mt. Ayr Cross Country Invitational Thursday, October 16.

The girls’ junior high team won the meet. The girls’ high school team placed fifth and the boys’ high school team placed ninth.

Individual results are as follows:

Junior High Girls (3200 meters) – 3rd, Mikayla Windham,  13:19.19; 5th, Lyla Walker, 13:55.58; 8th, Sophie Hegstrom, 14:23.52; 11th, Kennedi Griffin, 14:52.03; 15th, Jaina Murray, 15:36.27; 19th, Brynna Alsup, 15:59.40; and 37th, Ava Brown, 18:11.02

Junior High Boys (3200 meters) – 19th, Andrew Romesser, 14:57.01; and 44th, Emmett Umbarger, 25:21.09

High School Girls (5000 meters) – 20th, Bella Bywater, 24:19.14; 25th, Gracie Walker, 25:05.94; 33rd,  Brilee Slemp, 25:46.94; 34th, Rhoni Caudill, 25:54.47; 44th, Macy Stepp, 27:17.70; and 58th, Brenna Kingery, 30:53.58

High School Boys (5000 meters) – 15th, Benjamin Rolf, 18:51.02; 48th, Mason Kingery, 21:37.72; 75th, Isaac Vette, 23:25.89; 88th, Robbie Armstrong, 24:51.26; 93rd, Owen Vette, 25:22.15; 110th, Avery Miller, 29:15.41

The Wolves competed in the 275 Conference Cross Country Meet Monday, October 20, in Maryville, Missouri.

The Class 1 District 4 Cross Country Meet will be Saturday, November 1, on the campus of Missouri Western State University in St. Joseph, Missouri.
