Norena Gae Robinson, 68, passed away Tuesday, September 30, 2025, at her home in Lincoln, Nebraska.

Norena was born in Gordon, Nebraska, October 26, 1957, to Norman and Bonny Evans. She attended school in Gordon, graduating in 1976. She enjoyed volleyball and was the drum majorette throughout her high school career. She worked as a nurse’s aide for the local nursing home, which she enjoyed.

In 1977, Norena had her first-born child, Halley Evans, and they eventually moved to Lincoln, where she worked diligently to get their feet on the ground and running.

Norena was united in marriage to Kim Dahlin in Lincoln in 1982. One child, Brent, was born to this union. They were divorced in 1988. Norena was then united in marriage to David Robinson on April 5, 1990, in David City, Nebraska.

Norena attended online classes through Bellevue University, Bellevue, Nebraska, where she obtained her B.S. in Business Management. Norena was employed with Cooper Nuclear Station, where she held multiple positions throughout her employment. She then attained the position of Employee Concerns Manager until her retirement in 2017.

Norena enjoyed stain-glassing, woodworking, gardening, canning, cooking, golfing, and busting down walls she thought shouldn’t be there while David was gone.

Norena made it very evident throughout her lifetime that her family was the most important thing to her. She was a “Ball of Fire” who was very carefree, ornery, and hard working. Her children, Halley and Brent, kept her on her toes, although they learned quite quickly you don’t cross Norena. She would have given the shirt off her back for anyone in need.

She is survived by her daughter, Halley (Evans-Robinson) Hunter, her husband, Jay, and grandsons, Rylan and Ethan, Rock Port; son, Brent Dahlin, and grandsons, Jaxon Brase and Kyelyn Brase, Lincoln; brother, Michael Evans and wife, Sonya, Idaho Falls, Idaho; brother, Thomas Evans and wife, Debra, Gordon; sister, Mary Smock and husband, Tim Lingle, Wyoming; and numerous nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers you may make a monetary contribution to help the family with funeral expenses.
