Around 200 participate in parade

Tarkio Parks & Recreation held its annual Halloween Parade and Trunk-or-Treat Sunday, October 26, 2025, on Main Street in Tarkio. A total of 190 people registered for the parade.

 

Birth to 1 Year winners

This year’s Tarkio Halloween Parade winners in the birth to 1 year category were Emery Gish (held by mother Sarah Murray), Kallie Sanders (held by mother Denise Sanders), and Koulter Wennihan.

 

1 to 2 Year winners

This year’s Tarkio Halloween Parade winners in the 1 to 2 year category were Caroline Wooten, Lane Shaw, and Martin Driskell.

 

3 to 5 Year winners

This year’s Tarkio Halloween Parade winners in the 3 to 5 year category were Cooper Martin, Myah Reeves, and Maverick Hendrix.

 

Kindergarten & 1st Grade winners

This year’s Tarkio Halloween Parade winners in the kindergarten and 1st grade category were Cane Stanton, Skyler Alsup, and Madilyn Riley.

 

2nd & 3rd Grade winners

This year’s Tarkio Halloween Parade winners in the 2nd and 3rd grade category were Leevi Driskell, Kynlee Conn (not pictured), and Dallas Slemp.

 

4th and 5th Grade winners

This year’s Tarkio Halloween Parade winners in the 4th and 5th grade category were Raylan Daugherty, Myla Stone, and Bennett Peregrine.

 

6th to 8th Grade winners

This year’s Tarkio Halloween Parade winners in the 6th to 8th grade category were Winston Hogue, JJ Rolf, and Titus Wright.

 

Pet winners

This year’s Tarkio Halloween Parade winners in the pets category were M.J. Driskell and Gertie and Martha McCartney and Gidget.

 

High School & Adult winner

This year’s Tarkio Halloween Parade winner in the high school and adult category was Alyssa Sullivan.

 

Couples winners

This year’s Tarkio Halloween Parade winners in the couples category were Simon Piveral and Isaac Martin, Brewer and August Hughes (pictured with parents Hanna and Keaton Hughes), and Riley and Wren Tunnell (with aunt Kamryn Brown).

 

Groups winners

This year’s Tarkio Halloween Parade winners in the groups category were Ethan, Robbi, and Jamie Piveral, Brinkley Wright, Aliyah Wilke, and Charlotte Wright, and Walter, Harvey, and Rory Lambertsen.

 

Trunk-or-Treat winners

This year’s Tarkio Halloween Trunk-or-Treat winners were Northwest Missouri Living Center (represented by Joanna Puentes), the Rolf family (represented by Rachel and JJ Rolf and Mistie Rightsell), and Hy-Vee (represented by Jim Navin).

 

Everyone who attended the Tarkio Halloween Parade on Sunday also enjoyed a trunk-or-treat with around 20 decorated vehicles set up in the Enel parking lot on Main Street, including the Haley and Josh Wright vehicle.

 

Teresa Shaw, Jane and John Walter, and Barb Lee’s Good News Church SUV (above) and Lois Wiley’s SUV (below) were two of the trunks decked out and providing goodies to all the little spooks.
