The Fairfax Kiwanis Club Election Day Pancake Feed was moved to Tuesday, November 11, 2025. The pancake feed will be held at the Fairfax Fire Station Community Room. Free will donations will be accepted. Stop by for lunch from 11:00 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. or supper from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. and enjoy a delicious “breakfast” of pancakes, along with ham, hot chocolate, coffee, or water. Proceeds will be used for youth and community projects.

The public is invited to attend the Ralph Greer American Legion Post’s Harvest Celebration soup supper Tuesday, November 11, from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. at the Atchison County Memorial Building, 417 S. Main, Rock Port, Missouri. Veterans may eat for free and free-will donations will be accepted for all other diners.

The Westboro Lions Club invites all hunters to a breakfast Saturday, November 15, from 7:00 to 10:00 a.m. at the Westboro Fire Station in Westboro, Missouri. From 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m., free eye exams will be held for anyone in need and free prescription eye glasses will be given to those who receive examinations. From 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m., everyone is invited to a meat-a-plenty lunch. Free-will donations will be accepted for both meals.

Town halls are scheduled in Atchison County to provide information on the RespectMoVoters campaign. The first town hall meeting was in Fairfax Monday, November 10. The next town hall meetings will be Wednesday, November 12, 5:00-7:00 p.m., at the Velma Houts Building in Rock Port, and Thursday, November 13, 5:00-7:00 p.m., at the Tarkio Nutrition Center.

The Rock Pock Port Senior Center is holding a traditional Thanksgiving lunch Wednesday, November 12, from 11:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. A contribution of $5.00 for those 60 & above is requested. The price for those age 59 and younger is $11. The Rock Pock Port Senior Center is located at 505 S. Country Club Drive.
