The top 30 finishers of the girls’ District Cross Country meet (above) advance to State. Rock Port’s Norah Watkins and Evelyn Heintz and East Atchison’s Taya Windham, Gracie Walker, Bella Bywater, and Brilee Slemp all qualified. Because the EA Lady Wolves also placed as a team, Lady Wolves Rhoni Caudill and Macy Stepp (not pictured) will also advance.

The East Atchison and Rock Port high school cross country teams competed in the MSHSAA Class 1 District 4 Cross Country Meet Saturday, November 1, 2025, at Missouri Western State University in St. Joseph, Missouri.
The top three teams and the top 30 individuals qualify to advance to the state meet Saturday, November 8, at Columbia, Missouri. The East Atchison girls’ team placed third, qualifying for the state competition. Quin Staten medalled and qualified individually. The EA boys’ team placed sixth. Rock Port’s Norah Watkins and Evelyn Heintz medalled and also qualified for state competition.

Macy Stepp (EA) placed 46th with a time of 27:27.44 and will advance to state with the Lady Wolves’ team.
Rhoni Caudill (EA) placed 41st with a time of 25:40.42 and will advance to state with the Lady Wolves’ team.
Anna Weber (RP) placed 65th with a time of 33:50.61.
Quin Staten (EA) placed 22nd with a time of 18:48.38 and will advance to state.
Mason Kingery (EA) placed 38th with a time of 19:41.06.
Levi Lucas (RP) placed 48th with a time of 20:26.38.
Robbie Armstrong (EA) placed 60th with a time of 21:09.14.
