Matthew Stine, Northwest Area Engineer for the Missouri Department of Transportation (MoDOT), was the guest speaker at the October 27, 2025, meeting of the Tarkio Rotary Club. He noted that Missouri ranks seventh in the nation for the number of roads maintained by the state. There are 10,000 bridges in the state and 79 of them are in Atchison County. He shared with the Rotarians the plans for road work in our area for the next year or two. (Submitted by Anita Sutter)
