• Showing at the Fair Theatre in Fairfax: “Fighting Man of the Plains” with Randolph Scott, Jane Nigh, and Bill Williams and “When Willie Comes Marching Home” with Dan Dailey, Corinne Calvet, and Colleen Townsend.
• Dr. G.E. Wempe of Tarkio was elected chief of the medical staff of the Fairfax Community Hospital at the annual election of officers held at the hospital Monday night. Dr. Wempe succeeds Dr. Paul W. Musgrave, who has been chief of staff since the hospital opened in November 1949.
• The Milton Extension Club met at the home of Mrs. V. V. Seymour November 13 with 10 members present. Roll call was answered by “Some Household Hint.” The picture of the month, “Angelus,” was described by Mrs. D.N. McClintock. The report and demonstration on “Afternoon and Evening Refreshments” were given by Mrs. Seymour, Mrs. McClintock, Mrs. Erman Graves, and Mrs. C. O. VanGundy.

• Christmas ornaments and decor were put up on the poles lining the highway in Fairfax.
• Members of the Order of Eastern Star went to Community Hospital Monday to present Fay McDonald with her 50 year pin. Mrs. McDonald is recuperating at the hospital from a fractured hip.
• Business improvements have been completed at Rogers Pharmacy and the cafe. The pharmacy is also undergoing extensive modernization on the inside. Fairfax Comfort Air has also undergone much improvement over a period of several weeks.
• A turkey supper was enjoyed by 70 people at the Over Sixty Club which met at the Masonic Hall dining room Monday evening. Mrs. Gary Wennihan sang two songs and reminded all to “Count Your Blessings.” Jess Bowman presented Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Hackett of Tarkio and Mrs. Hackett gave an interesting account of her Alaskan trip with slides.

• Practice is underway for the Fairfax Lady Bulldog Basketball Team. Ten girls are out this season and are coached by Terry Hopkins.
• The Fairfax Early Childhood students went shopping at R & L Grocery Store on Wednesday, November 15, to buy items to make vegetable soup.
• Virginia McMahon of Fairfax celebrated her 99th birthday Wednesday, November 15. Virginia was showered with cards and lots of visitors, all who enjoyed birthday cake in celebration of her big day.
• The annual Fairfax High School FCCLA/FFA Barnwarming was held Friday, November 17. Kara Kemerling was named Chapter Sweetheart and Dustin Graves was named Favorite Fellow.
• Light Nite activities are scheduled for Saturday, November 25. Christmas displays in the park will be turned on by Miss Fairfax Kara Kemerling and Junior Miss Fairfax Sarah Scarbrough. The Fairfax FCCLA and FFA chapters will be serving hot chocolate, coffee, popcorn, and cookies in front of KG Buds. A cake walk sponsored by CPT will be held in front of The Mane Thing. Santa will be at the Fairfax Forum. There will also be singers performing on the stage, turkey bowling, a craft and decor sale, and giveaways up and down Main.
