The Tarkio Nutrition Center recently announced that, due to recent contract reductions, the center will temporarily close every Friday (starting November 21) until further notice. This difficult decision comes as the center strives to maintain the quality and sustainability of its essential meal services while navigating reduced funding. To ensure that home-delivered meal clients continue to receive nourishment, all Friday lunches will be replaced with a frozen meal delivered on Thursday, which can be easily reheated.
