
Elza Anthony “Tony” Didlo, the son of Thomas Eugene and Mary Charlene (Lee) Didlo, was born on Wednesday, August 5, 1970, in Fairfax, Missouri, and attended church the following Sunday. Tony attended Tarkio High School, Tarkio, Missouri, and participated in football and wrestling. He graduated in 1988.
Soon after graduation, Tony moved and attended college in Pennsylvania and later The General Council of the Assemblies of God, Springfield, Missouri. He received his Certificate of Ministry in 1999. Tony then moved to Des Moines, Iowa, determined to be a restaurant manager, but God had different plans. He was then employed at Easterseals Iowa, a facility that serves children and adults with disabilities and their families.
Tony was involved in the churches in Des Moines and was a minister at the Eden Church, Urbandale, Iowa. He loved to do street ministries and greeting people asking, “Do you know Jesus?”. He also was a manager of a home for troubled boys and some of them are Christians today and living a good life due to Tony’s influence. Tony passed away Tuesday, November 25, 2025, at his home in Urbandale at the age of 55.
Tony had a family that loved him very much. He was preceded in death by grandparents, Elza Didlo, Helen Sparks, and Charles (Mary) Lee; aunt, Norma Didlo; uncle, Carl Gene Riley; and cousins, Stacy Lee and Marla Swaby. Survivors include parents, Thomas and Charlene Didlo; sister, Tammy Didlo; aunts, Carolyn Riley and children, Cleeta Withrow and children; uncles, Mark Didlo and Kenny Lee and children; and numerous cousins and friends.
A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, December 4, 2025, at Davis Funeral Home, Tarkio, conducted by Pastor Calvin West and Pastor John Nemmers. Private family inurnment will be held at a later date. The family will receive friends from 10:00-11:00 a.m., Thursday, prior to the service. There is no open visitation.
