The Tarkio Nutrition Center is grateful for the incredible outpouring of monetary donations and needed items received this past month. Your unselfish contributions are vital in continuing to provide local seniors with not only a warm, nutritious meal but also the invaluable gift of friendly social interaction. While deeply appreciative of your support, the center is navigating a significant financial strain due to a recent contract cut, leading to the difficult, yet necessary, decision to close on Fridays to help manage operational costs. Each day the center operates, it incurs approximately $650 in expenses for food, essential supplies, and dedicated labor.

To help bridge this gap, the Tarkio Nutrition Center is thrilled to introduce the “Meal Champions” program. This initiative invites individuals and organizations to become champions by sponsoring a day’s meal costs for $250. Your generous sponsorship will be proudly recognized on our outdoor LED sign, with your name featured on each meal served that day and celebrated with a dedicated Facebook post.

In addition, we are reviving the “Product of the Month” program. Each month, a specific item will be highlighted as our need. When you bring in that designated product, your name will be entered into a drawing for a small prize, making your donation even more rewarding. We warmly encourage everyone to visit the center, ask any questions you may have, consider volunteering your time, or make a donation. The Tarkio Nutrition Center is a cornerstone of our community, and with your continued support, we are dedicated to serving our seniors for many years to come!

Adopt-A-Senior for Christmas project at Tarkio Nutrition Center

The Tarkio Nutrition Center has launched their Adopt-a-Senior project. This initiative is designed to support homebound seniors in our community by providing them with warm meals and small gifts during this joyous season.

With a donation of just $50, you can help ensure a senior receives meals for an entire month. Your generous contributions will make a significant difference in the lives of those who may otherwise spend the holidays alone.
