Tarkio/Westboro/Fairfax Food Pantry

The Tarkio/Westboro/Fairfax Food Pantry is currently low on the following items: fruits (15-20 oz. – mixed fruit, peaches, pears, pineapple, mandarin oranges), tomato juice (46 oz. can), complete pancake mix, syrup (64 oz.), soups (cream of mushroom, chicken noodle, tomato, cream of chicken, vegetable beef, chili), flour (5 lbs.), creamy peanut butter (16 oz.), boxed macaroni and cheese, chili style beans, ground beef (1 lb. pkg.), and dish soap.

The board members will open the pantry from 9:00 to 11:00 a.m. on December 18.

In December, coupons for hams will be distributed according to the family size. Families of one to three will receive a coupon for half of a ham. Families with four or more will receive a coupon for a whole ham. Clients must take their coupons to the Tarkio Hy-Vee to be redeemed.

If schools are closed due to inclement weather, the food pantry is also closed. If the schools experience a two-hour delay, the food pantry will delay opening until 10:00 to noon.

Donations to the food pantry, especially monetary donations, are always appreciated. Donations may be sent to Anita Sutter, treasurer, at 26287 290th Street, Fairfax, MO 64446.

The food pantry is located at 315 Main Street in Tarkio.

Rock Port Food Pantry

The Rock Port Ministerial Alliance Food Pantry is low on the following items: boxed stuffing mix, boxed instant mashed potatoes, corn flakes, Raisin Bran, pasta sauce, tomato sauce, Minute Rice, beef stew, Spam, canned chicken, chili beans, pinto beans, ranch, mandarin oranges, honey, strawberry Jell-O, cooking oil (48 oz. bottle), strawberry jelly, pineapple, peaches, pears, apricots, and fruit cocktail.

The food pantry will not be open Friday, December 26. It will be open Tuesday, January 6, 2026, 10:00 a.m. – 12:00 noon; Friday, January 9, 5:00 – 6:30 p.m.; Tuesday, January 20, 2026, 10:00 a.m. – 12:00 noon; and Friday, January 23, 5:00 – 6:30 p.m.

Donations can be taken to the Rock Port United Methodist Church, 211 W. Opp, Monday through Thursday, 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon, and placed in the shopping cart. Monetary donations may be mailed to the Rock Port Ministerial Alliance, P.O. Box 164, Rock Port, MO 64482.
