The Fairfax preschoolers performed “Reindeer Hokey Pokey,” “Little Snowflake,” and “C-H-R-I-S-T-M-A-S Spells Christmas.”
The fifth through seventh grade choir sang “Jingle Bell Rock,” which included solos by Zailynn Cook, Wendy Hurst, and Ava Oswald, “A One Horse Open Sleigh (In A Jingly Minor Way),” and “Silent Night.”

Fairfax R-3 students in preschool through 12th grades donned their Christmas clothes and festive spirits on Wednesday, December 10, 2025, to perform a Christmas concert and musical “Christmas on Candy Cane Lane” in the Fairfax High School Gym for family and friends. The music boosters held a chili supper before the start of the concert with funds going toward the high school band’s next trip to Branson, Missouri, where they will perform.
The concert began with the 5th-7th grade choir singing “Jingle Bell Rock.” Zailynn Cook, Wendy Hurst, and Ava Oswald performed solos. The choir also sang “A One Horse Open Sleigh (In A Jingly Way)” and “Silent Night.” Choir members include Zailyn Cook, Kaylee Earith-Bungenstock, Wendy Hurst, Zach Koop, Brody Landess, MJ May, Ava Oswald, Ayden Stoner, Joel Vance, Patrick Wheeler, Parker Woodring, Eli Auwarter, Aspyn Fast, Adelynn Giddinge, Trevelyan Hicks, Ryann Salmond, Emmett Umbarger, Liam Powell, Stella Terry, Haleena Allen, Greenley Grossman, Harper Hicks, Presley Knight, Jonah Long, William Oswald, Eli Rogers, Braleigh Stoner, and Twyla Elliott.
The preschoolers then took the stage to perform “Reindeer Hokey Pokey,” “Little Snowflake,” and “C-H-R-I-S-T-M-A-S Spells Christmas.” Preschool students include Kyler Avrett, Novalee Chavez, Abigail Calihua Macuixtle, Evelyn Hulsey, Xavion Pinzino, Esme Vogler, Jericho Wilson, and Audrey Zumbrunnen.
The 5th grade band played “Merrily Rolling Along,” “Hot Cross Buns,” and “Jingle Bells.” Band members include: trombones – Haleena Allen and Twyla Elliott; flutes – Greenley Grossman and Presley Knight; clarinet – Harper Hicks; alto saxophone – Eli Rogers; trumpet – Braleigh Stoner; and percussion – Jonah Long and William Oswald.
The 6th grade band performed “Santa’s Spring Break” and “Beethoven’s Jingles.” Band members include: flute – Aspyn Fast; clarinets – Adelynn Giddinge and Stella Terry; percussion – Trevelyan Hicks and Liam Powell; alto saxophone – Emmett Umbarger; and trumpet – Ryann Salmond.
Emmett Umbarger performed a piano solo to “Sounds From The Gumdrop Factory” and “Almost Like A Dream.”
The junior high band played “Christmas Concerto #3” and “Christmas Time Is Here.” Band members include: flute – Emma Ohlensehlen; clarinets – Geb Burke, Danyella Puentes, and Parker Woodring; alto saxophones – Alex Wintz and Wendy Hurst; baritone saxophone – Lela Wright; trumpets – Mackenzie Oswald, Ava Oswald, and MJ May; baritones – Delaney Oswald and Katie Avrett; tubas – Zander Grossman and Joel Vance; and percussion – Zailynn Cook, Zach Koop, Brody Landess, and Patrick Wheeler.
The high school band played “Rudolph’s Holly Jolly Rockin’ Christmas March,” “O Holy Night,” “Brazilian Sleigh Bells” with special guest Braylon Foster, and “Christmas At The Circus.” Band members include: flutes – Amelia Larson and Kelsey Avrett; clarinets – Lexi Brown, Brenna Kingery, and Aliyah Pearce; bass clarinet – Erin Eyman; alto saxophone – Chloe Vernon; tenor saxophone – Olivia Woods; baritone saxophone – Joaquin Hill; trumpets – Austin Helfers and Jude Long; baritone – Deyton Burke; tuba – Johnny Pickard; and percussion – Trent Frohn, Kenneth Kirkpatrick, and Chase Gayler.
