Each Christmas, the Tarkio Elementary students gather around the Christmas tree to sing festive tunes for family and friends. This much-loved tradition has lasted several decades. This year’s Sing Around the Christmas Tree was held Friday, December 19, 2025, in the elementary gym. Each class sang a song or two, as well as the teachers and staff members, and the fifth graders also performed a song on their guitars. All the students then sang some Christmas carols together.

The Tarkio Elementary Kids’ Korner Preschool students performed “It’s Christmas” at the Sing Around the Christmas Tree Friday, December 19, 2025, in the elementary gym.
