The City of Fairfax Board of Aldermen held a regular meeting December 16, 2025. The meeting was called to order by Tabitha Wintz, mayor, at 5:30 p.m. Also in attendance were: Tristan Ray, Debra Wyatt, Stephanie Stevens, and Ryan Kingery, aldermen; Christy Stevens, city clerk; John Brown and Steve Stevens, city employees; and Kamron Woodring, Public works superintendent.

The tentative agenda was approved.

The aldermen voted unanimously to approve the minutes of the November 17, 2025, meeting and accounts payable.

New Business

Bill #2025-09 titled: A Resolution of the City of Fairfax, Missouri, approving and adopting the annual budget for the fiscal year January, 1 2026, to December 31, 2026, was presented and read by title by Tabitha Wintz. Bill #2025-09 was approved unanimously and assigned Resolution #2025-1575.

Bill #2025-10 titled: A Resolution of the City of Fairfax, Missouri, approving the governing body of applicant for the lead service line project was presented and read by title by Tabitha Wintz. Bill #2025-10 was approved unanimously and assigned Resolution #2025-1576.

The Atchison County Clerk & Election Authority had drawn up a contract to set into place to use Fairfax City Hall for all election purposes. After looking over the contract, the aldermen voted to accept and sign the contract.

Staff Reports

Terry Miller, City Treasurer, submitted that all accounts are in balance.

Christy Stevens, City Clerk, mentioned that as long as the books are done by the end of January, Nathan Thomas, city auditor, will be up to start the audit process.

The aldermen voted to go into executive session at 5:45 p.m. to discuss personnel.

The council came out of executive session at 6:00 p.m. and the regular meeting was adjourned.

The next meeting is Wednesday, January 21, at 5:30 p.m.
