Rock Port High School is celebrating its Winter Homecoming this week with the homecoming basketball games and crowning of the king and queen to take place Friday in the high school gym.

The frigid temps have been a doozy lately. Remember to keep water flowing in your faucets and pipes so that the pipes don’t freeze and please bring in your outdoor pets or make sure they have a heated and dry shelter to get out of the cold.

Will Punxsutawney Phil see his adorable shadow on Groundhog Day, Monday, February 2, or will we luck out and get the news that Spring is on its way? We shall see.

Thank you to the crews who were out in the extremely cold temps and snow this weekend fixing Tarkio’s water main breaks, clearing Atchison County roads, or providing emergency medical services to our citizens. Your sacrifices are much appreciated!
