Thanks to an outpouring of generosity from neighbors, friends, and local businesses, the Tarkio Nutrition Center has announced that it will reopen its doors for lunch service on Fridays, beginning February 6, 2026. Starting at 11:15 a.m. and running through 12:30 p.m., the kitchen will once again provide a warm, nutritious meal for anyone who needs it – exactly the way it’s been done for years.
To keep this momentum going, the center invites you to continue stopping by for lunch and to consider contributing either in-kind items (canned goods, fresh produce, pantry staples) or monetary gifts. Every dollar and every donation box helps maintain a reliable, welcoming space where families can find nourishment, support, and a sense of belonging.
If you’re able, stop by during lunch hours to drop off contributions, or visit https://www.paypal.com/donate/?hosted_button_id=uzw48FUJ7SDHW to make a secure online donation (Atchison County Multi-Purpose Center). Together, we can ensure that the Tarkio Nutrition Center remains a resource for our community – one meal, one smile, and one act of kindness at a time.
