Parent/Teacher Conferences will be held at Tarkio R-I Thursday, February 12, from 1:00 to 5:00 p.m. Parents will meet with the teachers in their children’s classrooms at both Tarkio Elementary and Tarkio High School. School will not be in session on Thursday, Friday, and Monday, February 12, 13, and 16.

East Atchison and Rock Port high school basketball teams will face off on the court Friday, February 13, at the Tarkio Activity Center. Games begin at 5:00 p.m. and will include junior varsity boys, varsity girls, and varsity boys. The St. Paul’s Women’s Altar Society will be hosting their bake sale that night and CH-F will be taking blood pressures.

The Rock Port High School basketball teams will travel to King City Monday, February 16, to play the games that were cancelled due to winter weather on January 23, 2026. Games begin at 5:00 p.m.

The Seattle Seahawks defeated the New England Patriots 29-13 in NFL Super Bowl LX. Maryville’s own Jalen Sundell was the Seahawks’ center. Jalen is the son of Robert Sundell, who is the attorney for the City of Tarkio.
