St. John’s Lutheran Church Sunday School is sponsoring a Bible and Christian Literature Drive during the month of February. Many people have Christian literature they don’t know what to do with. The church’s Sunday School is working with a ministry called Love Packages to get used (and new) Bibles and Christian literature and materials placed on mission fields of the world. There are so many people who are hungry for the Word of God. Will you help?
Used (and new) Bibles, New Testaments, Bible portions, nonfiction Christian books and paperbacks, Christian magazines (except Guideposts), devotionals, reference books, commentaries, CDs, DVDs, VBS and Sunday School curriculum (leader’s guide and at least eight student manuals) will be accepted. You may think your excess is dated or in too poor of shape, but it will be a treasure to many people. A Bible with no cover? They’ll take it. Highlighted, notes in the margin, torn pages, stained, etc.? Send it their way. Hard to part with it? Prayerfully consider this as a way you can share the Good News. People will be saved, healed, and delivered as a result of your contribution.
The Sunday School group is collecting these items through the month of February. Next, a Love Packages volunteer will collect and transport the literature and materials to the Love Packages headquarters. It will then be sorted, shipped overseas, and distributed. Please drop off your contribution at St. John’s Lutheran Church, 22186 State Hwy. B, Westboro MO, 64498, or text/call 660-853-1201 to arrange for your items to be picked up.
