The Atchison County Fair Board held its annual fish and chicken fry at the Velma Houts MU Extension building on Sunday March 1, 2026. Area students prep the food for the service line. Pictured, from left to right, Raylynn Jenkins, Emma Teten, Nash Schomburg, and Bentley Teten are ready to serve.

As everyone went through the line they were given choices of fish or chicken, beans, coleslaw and a dessert. Around 400 were served Sunday.

Russell and Linda Herron came early to beat the crowd.
