The East Atchison high school wrestling team was also recently honored at an awards banquet. Coach Matt Darrah presented the following awards:

Bo Peregrine received the Wolf Award, Outstanding Senior Achievement, and Team Captain awards. Bo had 114 career wins, 83 pins, 62 career escapes, 49 career reversals, and 37 wins – seasons.

Treyton Brown received the Outstanding Male Wrestler Award. Treyton was also recognized for having 40 take-downs in a season  and seven take-downs in a match.

Danni Irvine was named Outstanding Female Wrestler. Danni had 18 near-falls in a season.

Outstanding Senior Achievement and Team Captain awards were presented to Dylan Drummond. Dylan was also recognized for having 87 career wins, 78 career take-downs, 41 career near-falls, and 27 career reversals.

Xabrina Klinger received the Rookie of the Year Award.

Jax Peregrine received a State Qualifier Certificate.

Bella Bywater was recognized for having 43 career escapes, 32 take-downs in a season, and 27 points one match.
