Sharon Kay Jones, the daughter of Dillard A. and Mildred (Brickey) Price, was born December 30, 1946, in Maryville, Missouri. Sharon graduated from Fairfax High School, Fairfax, Missouri, in 1964. After high school, she attended the H&R Block course for tax preparation and bookkeeping, receiving her certification.

In 1963, Sharon was united in marriage to Donald Ingram. They became the parents of four children, Phil, Tricia, Missy, and Steve. They later divorced. On November 18, 1989, Sharon was united in marriage to her soulmate, Charley Jones, at the Tarkio United Methodist Church. Sharon and Charley shared many happy years together. Charley affectionately nicknamed Sharon “Kitten.” They made their home in Tarkio until the present time.

Sharon worked at numerous area businesses as a bookkeeper, including Pamida and Shopko in Tarkio, and Walter Bros. and Super 8 Motel in Rock Port, Missouri. She also was employed as a waitress at Betty’s Hilltop in Rock Port.

Sharon was an active member of the Allen-Shiffern American Legion Auxiliary and had served as President for two years. As a child she attended the Fairfax Presbyterian Church, and more recently confessed her Christian faith and was baptized by Pastor David Wynn. Sharon passed away Saturday, March 14, 2026, at her home, surrounded by her family at the age of 79. The family is comforted knowing that Sharon is reunited with her beloved dogs, Peaches and Duke.

She was preceded in death by her parents; stillborn “Baby Ingram”; son-in-law, Jeremy McKinnon; sister and brother-in-law, Delores and Lewis Shipley; brother-in-law, Don Thaden; sisters-in-law, Sharon Cook and Charlene Volker; and brother-in-law, Bud Volker. Survivors include her husband, Charley Jones, Tarkio; children, Phil (Jodi) Ingram, Lee’s Summit, Missouri, Tricia (Kelly) Smith, Cameron, Missouri, Missy (Doug) Fletcher, Cameron, and Steve (Megan) Ingram, Rock Port; stepchildren, Chris Jones, Omaha, Nebraska, and Cory (Tiana) Jones, Rock Port; grandchildren, Kelsey Ingram, Coby Ingram, Amber (Spencer) McMillan, Kayla (Josh) Lisenbee, Colton (Riley) Smith, Kaylyn McKinnon, Karlee Fletcher, Cayden Fletcher, Philip (Alyssa) Angle, and Portia Ingram; step grandchildren, Anthony Jones, Kade Jones, Memphis Jones, Donovan Jones, Ty (Hayley) Jones, Tyler (Taya) Jones, Preston Jones, and Hadleigh Jones; numerous great-grandchildren; sister, Wanda Thaden, Waco, Texas; sister-in-law, Patti (Mark) Pearson, Pompano Beach, Florida; and numerous nieces and nephews.

A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, March 18, 2026, at Davis Funeral Home, Tarkio, conducted by Rev. Glenn Scott. Open visitation begins at 9:00 a.m. Tuesday, March 17, 2026, at Davis Funeral Home. The family will receive friends Wednesday, 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at Davis Funeral Home prior to the service. Interment will be at Home Cemetery, Tarkio. Memorials may be directed to the Allen-Schiffern American Legion Auxiliary, Tarkio. Arrangements are under the direction of Davis Funeral Home, Tarkio.
