Tarkio Tech President Johnny Davis kept everyone involved, asking for a show of hands of who had been on campus.

Presiding Commissioner Curtis Livengood welcomed the commissioners to Atchison County and introduced the speakers.

Rock Port Mayor JR Chaney gave a little history on the Atchison County Courthouse and Rock Port.
The Atchison County Commissioners were the host for the Northwest Missouri Commissioners meeting held March 19, 2026, at the Atchison County Memorial Building.
Everyone was welcomed by Presiding Commissioner Curtis Livengood. South District Commissioner Richard Burke led the Pledge of Allegiance and former Sheriff Dennis Martin sang the national anthem.
In addition to the commissioners from Northwest Missouri, Senator Rusty Black, and representatives for Sam Graves’ and Josh Hawley’s offices were on hand to talk with the commissioners.
Mayor JR Chaney got things started with an overview of Rock Port and a little history about Atchison County.
Tarkio Tech President Johnny Davis brought the group up to date on the courses currently being offered and about their future plans to expand the educational options in the future.
Other speakers included Kevin Rost with Golberg Group Architects, and Brian Keierleber, who talked about bridges.
The group was treated to lunch by Anita Robertson and the Brownville Lyceum, followed by a business meeting before the meeting was adjourned.
