The Fairfax Community Easter Egg Hunts took place this past weekend at the city park. Saturday’s event started out quite chilly, but that didn’t stop a huge group of children from running through the park from top to bottom filling their baskets with eggs, stuffed animals, sidewalk chalk, apples, oranges, and more! Pictured are Miss Fairfax Chloe Vernon with the Easter Bunny.

Lila Leseburg (above) and Jace and Jett Zumbrunnen (below) hunted for eggs on Saturday. The event was made possible thanks to Amanda Agnew and other volunteers and contributors.

Aubree Simmons was all smiles while hunting for Easter eggs and other goodies in the Fairfax City Park on Saturday, March 28, 2026.

A special egg hunt for children needing a calmer environment was held on Sunday. Pictured at that event is Kyler Avrett.

Children weren’t the only ones “hunting” the park for goodies. At least one black squirrel took advantage of the freebies on both Saturday and Sunday.
