The Garst family didn’t let a little cold and wind stop them from gathering together for a photo op with the Easter Bunny and a morning spent hunting Easter eggs at the Rock Port City Park. Pictured are Shelby Garst with children Watson, Thomas, Maren, and Brett.

New Horizons hosted an Easter Egg Hunt for the Rock Port community and any other “egg”cited kiddos looking to hunt goodies for Easter. The event was held on a cold and windy morning, Saturday, March 28, 2026, but the weather didn’t stop the children from having a good time!

Apparently, egg hunts have become contact sports. These two littles had their eyes set on the same eggs and collided in their quest to reach them first.

There is definitely no shortage of eggs available for all the youngsters wanting to take part in the New Horizons’ Easter Egg Hunt held every spring at the City Park in Rock Port.

The great hunter/gatherers use any means/accessories available to them to get as many eggs as they can. Whether it’s a cute Easter basket, plastic sack, cloth grocery bag, or jacket pocket, anything can hold an assortment of eggs.

The Beatty family enjoyed taking a family picture with the New Horizons Easter Bunny on Saturday, March 28, at the Rock Port City Park. Pictured are Trevor and Ashtyn Beatty with their three little egg hunters, Bo, Levi, and Hallie.

Mia Erdman wasn’t so sure about sitting on the Easter Bunny’s lap, but the photo was still somewhat of a success.
