The Tarkio Parks & Recreation board didn’t let the rain and cold stop them from providing an After Dark Easter Egg Hunt for over 200 children Friday night, April 3, 2026. The event was moved to the Tarkio Activity Center and the kiddos were still able to fill their baskets full of goodies while hunting in the dark (the lights were turned off). The Easter Bunny was also on hand for photo ops.

 

Novalyn Sportsman was one of the many egg hunters who went home from the hunt with a full basket of goodies.

Cambria Baruth was one of the eager egg hunters at the After Dark Egg Hunt Friday, April 3, at the TAC. The event was moved to the TAC due to the rain.

 

The Tarkio Parks & Rec Board members used their bodies and leaf blowers to quickly slide the 7,000 Easter eggs, toys, and treats across the gym floor and multipurpose room of the TAC on Friday night after the event was relocated there due to the rain.
