The Rock Port Beta Gals held a benefit dinner Sunday, April 12, at the Atchison County Memorial Building. They also sold chances on a quilt, donated by the Watson Quilters. Proceeds went to Dawn Brown, who suffered a stroke in January and is now undergoing physical therapy.

Pastor Dave Shadinger, left, visits with Dawn and Allen Brown during the benefit. The lunch was held following the spring community worship service, sponsored by the Rock Port Ministerial Alliance at the Atchison County Memorial Building.

Braeley Cook helped the Beta Gals by serving drinks during the benefit lunch.
