The Tarkio High School senior girls participated in a self defense safety training course provided by the Atchison County Sheriff’s Office Monday, April 27, 2026. With the help of Chris Conn, Sam Giddinge, and Sheriff Andy Riley, the girls were taught situational awareness and were shown moves on how to deflect and get out of violent confrontations when immediately running away is not an option.
