The Rock Port High School Alumni Banquet will be held Saturday, May 30, 2026, at 2:00 p.m. in the high school gym. Honor class pictures will be taken at 1:45 p.m. (oldest to youngest). This year’s honor classes are: 70 year – Class of 1956, 60 year – Class of 1966, 50 year – Class of 1976, 40 year – Class of 1986, 30 year – Class of 1996, 25 year – Class of 2001, 20 year – Class of 2006, 10 year – Class of 2016, and the Class of 2026. All RPHS alumni and guests are welcome and encouraged to attend. Light refreshments will be served. Free-will donations will be taken at the door. No reservations are required.

Were you a graduate of the Tarkio High School Class of 1962? If so, stop by the David Rankin Museum . . . A journey through the history of Tarkio, located on the top floor of The Curnutt Center on the Tarkio Tech campus. The museum recently received a collection of photos of that class.

Looking for a fun and educational opportunity for your child this summer? The Atchison County Health Department is hosting a Summer Sitter Course Thursday, June 4, from 9:00 to 11:00 a.m. at the Health Center in Tarkio. This course is designed to help young babysitters build confidence and learn important skills. Class size is limited so call now to reserve your spot – 660-736-4121. This class is open to youth going into 6th grade and up.

The Linden Christian Church will be hosting their annual Cowboy Church on Sunday, June 7, with Sunday school starting at 9:00 a.m. followed by worship service at 10:00 a.m. Horse riders are welcome and a Chuckwagon Chow will follow the service.
