It is with deep sorrow and much love that we mourn the passing of Rebecca “Becky” Jo (Vogel) Turner, aged 80, who passed away peacefully on May 21, 2026, at her home in Coralville, Iowa.

Born on March 31, 1946, in Hamburg, Iowa, she was the beloved daughter of Leland Vogel and Roberta (Miller) Vogel. Becky grew up in Rock Port, Missouri, with a vibrant and energetic outlook on life. After some time moving around the country, she settled down in the North Kansas City, Missouri, area, building a fulfilling decades-long career in the travel industry before her eventual retirement in 2017.

Beyond her professional life, she had a deep passion for photography and was rarely seen without a camera in hand. She was known for her buoyant spirit, endless energy, razor sharp humor, and above all else, her love for her family and close friends.

She will be lovingly remembered by her brother, Carroll “Corky” (Linda) Vogel; her nephew, Kyle (Kecia Leary) Vogel; her closest friend, Sandy Key; and extended family members and friends. She was preceded in death by her father, Leland Vogel; her mother, Roberta (Miller) Vogel; and her nephew, Shane Vogel.

A celebration of life will be held on Wednesday, June 3, 2026, from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at the Kirkwood Room, located at 515 Kirkwood Avenue, Iowa City, IA 52240. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made in her memory to McMurray United Methodist Church in Claycomo, Missouri, or to a charity close to their heart.
