Fairfax residents will celebrate  the 100th anniversary of the Fairfax High School building this year. For a century, these halls have shaped generations of hearts, hands, and minds, built lifelong friendships, and stood as the cornerstone of tradition in our community.

In honor of this milestone, the Fairfax Improvement Foundation (FIF) and Fairfax Kiwanis Club are hoping to raise $100,000 with the help of a matching grant by June 15, 2026. Donations will be matched by a 2:1 matching grant from The Patterson Family Foundation for funds totaling $100,000. They have already raised over $26,000, so they are well on their way to this goal.

Your donation will go directly toward upkeep, repairs, and preservation of the historic high school building, ensuring it continues to serve students for generations to come.

Whether you are an alumnus, parent, grandparent, past or present staff member, or friend of Fairfax R-3, you can support this effort with a donation. Every contribution, big or small, brings the project closer to the goal.

There are several ways to make a donation:

• Donations can be mailed to Fairfax Improvement Foundation, P.O. Box 31, Fairfax, MO 64446. (Make checks payable to Community Foundation of Northwest Missouri, including a memo for Fairfax Improvement Foundation. Please date checks between May 15 and June 15 to qualify for the matching grant.)

• Donate digitally by scanning the QR code or visit https://cfnwmo.fcsuite.com/erp/donate/create/fund?funit_id=1197.

All payments will be processed through the Community Foundation of Northwest Missouri. CFNWMO is a 501(c)(3) not for profit organization. Your donation to CFNWMO is tax deductible to the extent allowed by law.

SPAGHETTI DINNER

Another fundraising effort will be held this Sunday, June 7. A spaghetti dinner will be served from 11:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at the Fairfax R-3 Cafeteria. A free will donation will be accepted.
