Don’t forget to register your child(ren) for the Atchison County Library’s Summer Reading Program, inspired by the 2026 national theme, “Unearth a Story.” The program will take place from 9:00 to 11:30 a.m. Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday, June 22-25, at the Tarkio Library. The first Atchison County Mail saturation issue of 2026 will be published Thursday, June 25. Every address in the county will receive a copy of that edition, whether a subscriber lives there or not. The deadline for any newspaper advertisements specifically for that issue will be Wednesday, June 17, at 5:00 p.m. Please email your advertisement to mail@farmerpublishing.com, stop by the office at 300 S.
