Steve Stoner, son of Shirley and the late Randall Stoner, retired on May 1, 2026, concluding a nearly 46‑year career providing accounting support and financial leadership to agricultural businesses across Florida and the eastern United States.

A 1976 graduate of Rock Port High School and a 1980 graduate of Northwest Missouri State University, Steve began his career with ConAgra Brands in Omaha, Nebraska, serving as a Staff Accountant in the grain and bakery flour division. After five years, he advanced to ConAgra’s United Agri Products (UAP) division as Chief Financial Officer of UAP Florida, prompting a move to the Tampa area.

During his 21 years with UAP, Steve played a key role in the company’s growth and took on increasing levels of responsibility. He later relocated to Oviedo, Florida, to join A. Duda & Sons, a diversified land and agriculture company. He initially served as Controller of Duda Farm Fresh Foods, the nation’s largest celery producer. Over his 20‑year tenure with A. Duda & Sons, Steve also held the roles of Agricultural Controller and Corporate Controller, overseeing the accounting team and supporting senior management for the past 14 years.

In retirement, Steve plans to spend more time with his wife, Mary, their four children who reside in Florida, and their five grandchildren, whose school and sporting events will keep him happily busy. He also looks forward to deepening his involvement in church activities and continuing his service with New Horizons Group Home, a nonprofit supporting adults with developmental disabilities, where he serves on the board of directors and where one of his daughters has lived for 22 years. More frequent trips back to the Rock Port area to visit his mother and extended family are also high on his list.
