One way Atchison County Development Corporation (ACDC) engages in community development and quality of life efforts in Atchison County is by supporting the nonprofit organizations doing wonderful things in our communities. Past organizations that ACDC has supported include Tarkio Tech, the golf courses, nutrition centers, fire departments, revitalization groups, and many others.

Each year, $10,000 is allotted to the Nonprofit Support Grant Fund. Though there has been considerable interest in 2026, all funds are still available. Grants equal up to 25% of the project cost, with a maximum of $2,500. (For example, if the total cost is $8,000, ACDC’s grant is $2,000 and the nonprofit will provide $6,000 of their own funds.) Organizations can only apply once every three years, so those that received a nonprofit grant in 2024 or 2025 are not eligible to apply in 2026.
