The Rock Port Baptist Church hosted a Lego-themed Children’s Summer Fellowship at the White Barn. Dan and Janette Stanton were the venue hosts and part of the volunteer team leaders. The theme for this year was “Building a Life Upon Jesus.” Lead teachers were Janette Stanton and Shelby Garst. Other volunteers assisted with crafts, games, and food. The children and adults shared lunch with grilled hot dogs, chips, and fruit on the first day The second day lunch included pizza and Lego-themed cupcakes.

The first day’s lesson was “Jesus is the Foundation.” The kids painted rocks and glued on a mini figure of Jesus.

The second day’s lesson was about the wise man vs. the foolish man building on either the rock or sand. (Matthew 7:24-27) The kids made a sand art bottle.

Everybody had a blast with various crafts and object lessons: Lego block building, picture frame, friendship bracelet, card making, and slime making.

The kids all went home with take-home bags of their crafts and gifts of prayer blocks and sunglasses. It was a very blessed two days of learning about Jesus as the True Foundation.
