Tarkio/Westboro/Fairfax Food Pantry

The Tarkio/Westboro/Fairfax Food Pantry is currently low on the following items: grape juice (64 oz.), complete pancake mix, syrup (64 oz.), beef and chicken broth (14.5 oz. can), boxed macaroni and cheese, Tuna Helper, tomatoes (diced, diced chili ready, tomato sauce, rotel), canned pasta (beefaroni, SpaghettiOs), ground beef (1 lb. pkg.), Blue Bonnet margarine (lb. sticks).

Tarkio Presbyterian Church will open the pantry in August. The food pantry is open on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 9:00 to 11:00 a.m. the third and fourth weeks of each month. The pantry is also open the third Tuesday from 7:00 to 8:00 p.m. Volunteers to help open the food pantry are always appreciated as it takes many workers to keep this important mission to our communities open. Monetary donations have slowed down during the summer months. It takes approximately $3,500 per month to stock the shelves, and the food pantry functions completely by donations, which are always appreciated. Donations may be sent to Anita Sutter, treasurer, at 26287 290th Street, Fairfax, MO 64446.

The food pantry is located at 315 Main Street in Tarkio, Missouri.

Rock Port Food Pantry

The Rock Port Ministerial Alliance Food Pantry is low on the following items: Stuffing mix, saltine crackers, peas, carrots, spinach, mixed vegetables, diced tomatoes, instant mashed potatoes, Minute Rice, chili, beef stew, pancake mix, syrup, cooking oil, chili beans, tomato sauce, pineapple, fruit cocktail, Raisin Bran, Cheerios, SPAM, canned chicken, peanut butter, strawberry jelly, grape jelly, chocolate cake mix, white cake mix, Spaghetti-Os, ketchup, ranch dressing, fudge brownie mix, cherry Jell-O, strawberry Jell-O, toilet cleaner, floor cleaner, men’s shaving cream, women’s shaving cream, conditioner, men’s body wash, women’s body wash, dish soap, and laundry detergent (39 fluid oz. or larger).

The food pantry will be open Friday, August 14, 5:00 – 6:30 p.m.; Tuesday, August 18, 10:00 a.m. – 12:00 noon; Friday, August 28, 5:00 – 6:30 p.m.

Donations can be taken to the Rock Port United Methodist Church, 211 W. Opp, Rock Port, Missouri, Monday through Thursday, 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon and placed in the shopping cart.
