Phyllis had a love for learning and was always trying something new. She enjoyed sewing, gardening, taking pictures, and any-thing that allowed her to create and make memories. She approached everything she did with care and talent.
Phyllis is survived by her husband, Ray Carney. Together they shared many adventures, traveling to places like Puerto Rico and Niagara Falls and living in several different states. They also loved playing pool together and Phyllis was known for beating just about everyone.

Family meant everything to Phyllis. She loved celebrating every milestone in her children’s lives and looked forward to the family’s yearly trips to Fairfax, Missouri. She is survived by her children, Debi Bourne, Gwen Bloch, Teresa Szczepaniak, Shawn Cutsinger, and her daughter-in-law, Brittni Cutsinger.
She was a proud grandmother and great-grandmother who cherished every moment with her family. Whether it was sleepovers, trips to the Nashville Zoo, Dunbar Cave, or Land Between the Lakes, she loved making memories with her grandchildren. She is survived by her grandchildren, Josh Stanley, Julia Ralston, Ashley Bourne, Brandy Bourne, Marina Szczepaniak, Katelyn Gibson, Chris Szczepaniak, Mackenzie Bloch, Michael Szczepaniak, Preston Cutsinger, Emma Bloch, Madelyn Cutsinger, Brody Carney, and Kirsten Carney, as well as 11 great-grandchildren.
