Tarkio/Westboro/Fairfax Food Pantry

The Tarkio/Westboro/Fairfax Food Pantry is currently low on the following items: grape juice (64 oz.), cereal, sugar (5 lbs.), vegetables (15 oz. – canned potatoes, cut green beans, French style green beans, mixed vegetables, whole kernel corn, cream style corn, peas, carrots, kraut), pasta (ramen noodles, macaroni, medium egg noodles, spaghetti), ground beef (1 lb. pkg.), Blue Bonnet margarine (lb. sticks), beef or chicken pot pies, and dish soap.

The food pantry will be open Thursday, August 27, 9:00 – 11:00 a.m. Volunteers to help open the food pantry are always appreciated as it takes many workers to keep this important mission to our communities open. To assist, contact Judy Henson at 816-261-2672.

Monetary donations slowed down during the summer months. It takes approximately $3,500 per month to stock the shelves, and the food pantry functions completely by donations, which are always appreciated. Donations may be sent to Anita Sutter, treasurer, at 26287 290th Street, Fairfax, MO 64446.

The food pantry is located at 315 Main Street in Tarkio, Missouri.

Rock Port Food Pantry

The Rock Port Ministerial Alliance Food Pantry is low on the following items: Stuffing mix, saltine crackers, peas, carrots, spinach, mixed vegetables, tomatoes, instant mashed potatoes, Minute Rice, chili, beef stew, pancake mix, syrup, cooking oil, chili beans, pasta sauce, tomato sauce, pineapple, fruit cocktail, SPAM, canned chicken, peanut butter, grape jelly, cake mix (chocolate, white, yellow), fudge brownie mix, cherry Jell-O, and strawberry Jell-O.

The food pantry will be open Friday, August 28, 5:00 – 6:30 p.m.; Tuesday, September 1, 10:00 a.m. – 12:00 noon; Friday, September 11, 5:00 – 6:30 p.m.; Tuesday, September 15, 10:00 a.m. – 12:00 noon; and Friday, September 25, 2026, 5:00 – 6:30 p.m.

Donations can be taken to the Rock Port United Methodist Church, 211 W. Opp, Rock Port, Missouri, Monday through Thursday, 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon and placed in the shopping cart.
