The East Atchison Wolves opened their season at home in Fairfax, Missouri, taking on the North Andrew Cardinals Friday, August 28, 2026. This was a high scoring game with North Andrew coming out on top 46 to 36 over the Wolves.

Getting things started for the Wolves was quarterback Brody Wennihan, who would hit receiver Parker Livengood on a slant to put the Wolves on the board first (the two point conversion was no good). East Atchison would answer North Andrew’s score with a pass from Wennihan to Braxton Davis and Josh Schlueter caught the two point conversion. On the first play for the Cardinals, defensive lineman were able to cause a fumble and Jax Peregrine recovered it to give the Wolves the ball on the 31 yard line, but the Wolves were unable to capitalize on the turnover. With the score tied at 14 and 8:12 minutes left in the first half, Wennihan would hit Knox Oswald who would go 38 yards and give the Wolves great field position on the 16 yard line. Two plays later Wennihan would hit Livengood for six points, Wennihan connected with Schlueter for the two point conversion making the score 20 to 14 EA. North Andrew would tack on eight more points to tie the ball game at 22 all going into halftime.

Coming out of halftime, the Wolves were able to find the end zone two more times with a quarterback keeper by Brody Wennihan and Wennihan connected with Braxton Davis. Unfortunately, the Wolves fell short.

On Friday, September 4, the Wolves travel to St. Joseph to play St. Joseph Christian.
