Tarkio/Westboro/Fairfax

The Tarkio/Westboro/Fairfax Food Pantry is currently low on the following items:  fruits (15-20 oz. – mixed fruit, peaches, pears, pineapple, mandarin oranges), tomato juice (46 oz. can), cake mixes (chocolate or white), soups (cream of mushroom, chicken noodle, tomato, cream of chicken, vegetable beef, chili), sugar (5 lbs.), Tuna Helper, tomatoes (diced, diced chili ready, tomato sauce, rotel), chili style beans, and toilet paper.

The food pantry, located at 315 Main Street in Tarkio, Missouri, is open on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 9:00 to 11:00 a.m. the third and fourth weeks of each month. The pantry is also open the third Tuesday from 7:00 to 8:00 p.m. Volunteers to help open the food pantry are always appreciated as it takes many workers to keep this important mission to our communities open. Monetary donations slowed down during the summer months. It takes approximately $3,500 per month to stock the shelves, and the food pantry functions completely by donations, which are always appreciated. Donations may be sent to Anita Sutter, treasurer, at 26287 290th Street, Fairfax, MO 64446.

Rock Port

The Rock Port Ministerial Alliance Food Pantry is low on the following items: Stuffing mix, saltine crackers, peas, carrots, spinach, mixed vegetables, tomatoes, instant mashed potatoes, Minute Rice, chili, beef stew, pancake mix, syrup, cooking oil, chili beans, pasta sauce, tomato sauce, pineapple, fruit cocktail, SPAM, canned chicken, peanut butter, grape jelly, cake mix (chocolate, white, yellow), fudge brownie mix, cherry Jell-O, and strawberry Jell-O.

The food pantry will be open Friday, September 11, 5:00 – 6:30 p.m.; Tuesday, September 15, 10:00 a.m. – 12:00 noon; and Friday, September 25, 2026, 5:00 – 6:30 p.m.

Donations can be taken to the Rock Port United Methodist Church, 211 W. Opp, Rock Port, Missouri, Monday through Thursday, 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon and placed in the shopping cart.
