The East Atchison Cross Country Teams competed in the Johnson County Central Invite in Tecumseh with other runners from College View Academy, Conestoga, Elmwood-Murdock, JCC, Omaha Christian, Palmyra, Platteview, Weeping Water,  and Thayer Central.

EA Coach Kameron Scheiffer remarked, “It’s our hardest course of the season and maybe the hottest race of the season, but they didn’t let it stop them from competing!”

The Lady Wolves team took 1st place, winning the meet for the first time ever! Individual results for the Lady Wolves (JH, JV, V) follow:

Varsity – 4th, Mikayla Windham, 24:23.44; 5th, Taya Windham, 24:39.97; 6th, Delaney Oswald, 24:40.91; 9th, Mackenzie Oswald, 25:15.16; 14th, Bella Bywater, 27:42.11; and 22nd, Gracie Walker, 30:28.44

Jr. Varsity – 4th, Sophie Hegstrom, 28:51.20; 9th, Rhoni Caudill, 34:23; and 10th, Macy Stepp, 37:05.50

Jr. High – 3rd, Lyla Walker, 12:01.25; and 7th, Jaina Murray, 13:03.29

Wolf varsity runner Mason Kingery placed 17th in the boys’ varsity race with a time of 21:57.90, just missing out on a medal. Other EA boys competing were:

Varsity – 47th, Andrew Romesser, 27:56.54; 48th, Owen Vette, 28:24.61; and 49th, Alex Wintz, 28:41.29
