The Rock Port Tourism Board will be holding a Christmas Light Contest this year. There will be two categories: residential and business. Each category will have a winner for $500 prize money and a runner-up for $200 prize money. The business winner will also be honored as the temporary home of the traveling trophy.

The application fee will be $5. Judging will be based on a 1-5 rating scale and the contestant with the highest total score from all judges will be the winner.

Register by Monday, November 2. Lights will need to be up by November 30. The judging will be completed by December 11. Registration forms can be picked up at City Hall. If you have any questions, contact Okema Galston at 660-787-0103 or any Tourism Board member.
