Janet F. Knight, the daughter of Warren J. and Fumie (Gibo) Knight, was born January 9, 1977, in Adak, Alaska. She attended high school in Kansas City, Missouri, graduating in 1995.

In 1997, Janet moved to Sacred Heart Nursing Home, Kansas City, Missouri, until 2010. She then moved to Tarkio Rehabilitation and Health Care, Tarkio, Missouri, to be closer to family, until their closing in 2024. Janet relocated to Pleasant View Nursing Home, Rock Port, Missouri, where she made her home until the present time.

Janet loved listening to country music, especially Luke Bryan. She was an avid Chiefs fan. She attended several Chiefs Training Camps, LOVED watching Patrick Mahomes, and snacking during the games. Janet enjoyed playing Bingo, coloring for her care givers, and going on adventures with Aunt June, and other care givers. She loved participating events, such as Trunk and Treat.

Janet passed away Thursday, October 1, 2026, at Pleasant View Nursing Home, Rock Port, at the age of 49.

Janet was preceded in death by father, Warren Knight; her grandparents; and uncle, Edward Olsufka. Survivors include her very special aunt/care giver, June Olsufka, Tarkio; cousins, Teresa Farber, Tarkio, Barb Schulte, Omaha, Nebraska, and John Olsufka, Shelby, Iowa; mother, Fumie Knight, Bentonville, Missouri; and numerous care givers throughout Rock Port and Tarkio.

A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Friday, October 16, 2026, at Pleasant View Nursing Home, Rock Port, conducted by Rev. Glenn Scott. There is no scheduled visitation. Private family inurnment will be held at a later date. Memorials may be directed to Pleasant View Activity Fund. Arrangements are under the direction of Davis Funeral Home, Tarkio.
